How do I
get the qualifications necessary to begin this adventure?
You need to follow a course recognised by the hairdressing industry.
The school is an accredited assessment centre for the delivery and
assessment of the City and Guilds NVQs in levels 1,2 and 3 in Ladies
and Barbering as well as the A1 & A2 awards
What Qualifications
do I need?
To become a hairdresser you need to be a very special person
You will:
- need
to have a vast array of skills and will require a great deal of training
initially, and be prepared to go on learning for
the rest of your working
life.
- have to be an
excellent communicator with people from every age group, social background,
ethnic background, occupation
and gender
- need a degree
of artistic flair and a lot of stamina.
You should be vibrant,
sparkling, strong and interesting but also
diplomatic,
sympathetic and
a good listener.
- School leavers
can go straight into the NVQ Level 2
- To work towards
an NVQ Level 3 applicants
must have their NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
